Pure Spectrum CBD partners with Kansas City Royals
Last week, the Kansas City Royals became the second Major League Baseball team to partner up with a CBD-based company. Pure Spectrum announced on Instagram and Facebook its connection with Kansas City Royals, announcing that it is a “trusted partner” of the team. “Pure Spectrum announces our new partnership with @kcroyals. We can’t hardly wait to see you out there,” the company wrote on its website on June 6. Pure Spectrum published a statement by the Kansas City Royals. The post stated that the Kansas City Royals were proud to announce their partnership with Pure Spectrum CBD. Pure Spectrum CBD is a hemp industry leader and a leading manufacturer of high-quality CBD. The Kansas City Royals were proud to be the second MLB team in the league to partner with a company such as Pure Spectrum, said Sarah Tourville, executive vice president and chief commercial and community-impact officer of the Kansas City Royals. This partnership gives us the chance to support a Kansas City-based brand and educate the community about the benefits of CBD. The space, which is equipped with fans and misters is intended to give fans a relaxing place to watch the game and learn about the positive effects CBD, according to a press release. According to Startland News’ CEO Dan Huerter, Pure Spectrum is a native of the area. Huerter said that as a Kansas City native, this partnership with Kansas City Royals was more than just a “dream come true”. “To be able work with such a iconic organization and be a part in promoting health in my hometown is an incredible honour.” The first team to partner up with a CBD firm was the Chicago Cubs back in April. Alex Seyferth is the Chicago Cubs Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. “When MLB opened up the CBD category to its clubs, we were able to explore new partnerships and offerings,” he said. “We are proud to be the club that partnered with a CBD company. But what was more important was to make sure that the brand fit our needs.” MYND DRINKS, a Chicago-based firm, promotes wellness and helps to ease stressors in everyday life. Just like a Friday afternoon game at Wrigley Field. Dan Halem is the MLB’s deputy commissioner and chief lawyer. He said that the opioid epidemic in America is a major concern for Major League Baseball. We hope that this agreement, which is based on prevention, treatment and awareness, will help protect the safety and health of our players. In February 2020, MLB announced that players could smoke cannabis, but they couldn’t be sponsors by cannabis companies. Other sports agencies, such as the National Basketball Association, have also adopted new cannabis policies. In April, the NBA is working with the National Basketball Players Association to reach an agreement that would remove cannabis off its list of prohibited substances and allow players to promote cannabis companies and invest in them.
